SV	Alzo hebben Joab en zijn broeder Abisai Abner doodgeslagen, omdat hij hun broeder Asahel te Gibeon in den strijd gedood had.
WLC	וְיֹואָב֙ וַאֲבִישַׁ֣י אָחִ֔יו הָרְג֖וּ לְאַבְנֵ֑ר עַל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֵמִ֜ית אֶת־עֲשָׂהאֵ֧ל אֲחִיהֶ֛ם בְּגִבְעֹ֖ון בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ פ
Trans.	wəywō’āḇ wa’ăḇîšay ’āḥîw hārəḡû lə’aḇənēr ‘al ’ăšer hēmîṯ ’eṯ-‘ăśâ’ēl ’ăḥîhem bəḡiḇə‘wōn bammiləḥāmâ:

AC	ל ויואב ואבישי אחיו הרגו לאבנר על אשר המית את עשהאל אחיהם בגבעון--במלחמה {ס}
ASV	So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had killed their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
BE	So Joab and Abishai his brother put Abner to death, because he had put to death their brother Asahel in the fight at Gibeon.
Darby	So Joab and Abishai his brother killed Abner, because he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
ELB05	So haben Joab und Abisai, sein Bruder, Abner ermordet, weil er ihren Bruder Asael zu Gibeon im Streit getötet hatte.
LSG	Ainsi Joab et Abischaï, son frère, tuèrent Abner, parce qu'il avait donné la mort à Asaël, leur frère, à Gabaon, dans la bataille.
Sch	Also brachten Joab und sein Bruder Abisai den Abner um, weil er ihren Bruder Asahel im Kampfe zu Gibeon getötet hatte.
